We manage all the design, production, marketing and post-sales phases of our medical devices and we promote several research and innovation projects in the medical device sector.

We develop software solutions, both desktop and mobile, according to IEC 62304 Medical device software — Software life cycle processes. Our solutions integrate proprietary inertial sensors, surgical instruments, 3D tracking systems, biomechanical models, exploiting augmented reality and computer vision concepts.

Description of the position

ORTHOKEY ITALIA is looking for a resource to join the software development department.

Responsibility:

The candidate will participate in all phases of the company’s product design, from requirements analysis to specification definition, as well as software planning, design, implementation and verification.

• Design and develop medical software that meets the defined requirements
• Contribute to the definition of product requirements and specifications and its risk management
• Design or improve product functionality based on information returning from the market
• Create documentation adhering to internal quality procedures, regulations, standards and industry best practices
• Work collaboratively with other members of the technical team in all phases of development, testing and release
• Interact and work effectively in cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality Assurance, production, assistance, marketing)

Required requirements and skills:

• IT training and/or many years of experience in software development
• Knowledge of the principles of object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of C++ or objective C languages
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to organize work, as well as analysis and synthesis
• Strong decision-making ability as well as a strong orientation towards problem solving and the ability to work towards objectives and priorities while respecting agreed deadlines.
• Good knowledge of the English language

Assets

• Experience working with the C++ language
• In-depth knowledge of at least one of the Microsoft Visual Studio development IDEs, Xcode
• Experience with Bluethooth LE devices
• Experience in native mobile app development

The profile is completed by:

• Knowledge of objective languages C, Swift
• Direct experience in the design and development of software architectures
• Working knowledge of IEC 62304
• Experience with requirements analysis and risk management processes
• The candidate will be hired with a personalized classification and salary based on real skills and experience gained.
